You and your team recently completed our beautiful orangery. What you cannot know is that we wouldn’t have contemplated having the structure built if you hadn’t been available to do the job. This is because it was a huge and expensive project, the largest we’ve undertaken at the house in the last 30 years – and certainly the most expensive we have ever saved for. It would have been very risky to have put the work into the hands of most builders. That’s because most are not as conscientious as yourself and your highly capable team of cheery professionals.
The completed orangery is a work of art and much admired for the superb quality of finish that your team insisted upon – under your watchful eye of course. The build could not have been smoother as your expert team kept us involved and informed at every stage of the project. The impact of a beautiful place to relax in has provided an unexpected richness in our lives. It will continue to do so as we now make time to sit in lush surroundings on our very busy days when the sun beckons.
We said initially that the overall effect of the orangery to the onlooker should be that it appeared to be part of the house – and not a ‘sore thumb’ add-on. Admiring neighbours have come to wonder why the orangery seems ‘always to have been there’. We smile at the comments and think ‘mission accomplished’.
Thank you a thousand times for the hours of pleasure that we’ll be enjoying as we count the clouds scudding overhead and marvel at the sunsets. A rotten job – but someone has to do it!
